Jenna Lyles writes prose, poetry, and screenplays. Multi-generic to the core, she considers herself a full-time lyricist with a comedic bent and deep appreciation for everyday taboos.
Currently, Jenna is an MFA candidate in creative writing at the University of Alabama where she is a McNair Fellow in nonfiction, an assistant editor for Black Warrior Review, and an awarded English instructor.
She is an interim Alabamian, but her heart lies in Florida—which, yes, she knows, explains a lot.
Right now, Jenna is underway writing her master’s thesis: a collection of stories that broaches the protean nature of relationships, sexuality, and identity.
